A marvelous and great work of art ! Excellent ! :-) I once saw about forty Elephants, including little ones, crossing a dirt road right in front of me ! :-) I hope very much such sights are still possible in 20 years from now !
Suzanne Schaefer replied:
Thank you, Hartmut Jager, for your lovely remarks! Like you, I certainly hope you're right about the future of these magnificent beings.

Beautiful work and I love the subject - baby elephants are so cute! Like and pinning on my Watercolor Paintings board and Animal Photos and Art Images board on Pinterest.

Thank you, Barbara and Carol. This one was done after the masa paper had dried completely, Barbara. The most challenging part of the process for me was the waiting! LOL I'm finally learning patience.

Suzanne, this is absolutely beautiful in color, composition and technique!! Love it! If I might ask, do you drop color on your paper while it is still wet after you have glued it to the watercolor paper with your image colors in mind, or not until it has dried? I have used Masa paper with varying degrees of success, but never with such great results!! L/F
